I've seen garters fall off of shrubs/low plants when I go hunting for them; found them on the sidewalk a couple times too. lol

OH. OHHHH.
I forgot that when I was in Utah there were 5-7 wandering garters under some very loose bark about 5 1/2 feet off the ground on a weeping willow tree.
