Not trying got hijack the thread but, If you are using “Care Fresh” a paper product what do you do with the waste material?
I have had my snakes’ room from the last 10 years and have always used aspen. I know that the aspen I discard breaks down in about in about 2 years and is good for the soil and as a weed suppressor.
Anything on Care Fresh?

Compost/mulch. You could do the same with it as you do your aspen. It is just wood cellulose (recycled newsprint) after all. Carefresh breaks down much faster than aspen bedding.

I put it in my compost pile. Probably not the best thing to do, with all the snake poop, but it seems to break down pretty fast.

Why not? I through mine over the fence. Not. (don't know why I don't. Our yard is full of his crap. A whole mattress not too long ago.)

I used to keep all roadkill snakes I found and put them over the fence, because I hated my neighbors and they where raging jerks.. Did it with a few mice to LOL

I have a snake in the freezer reserved for just such an occasion except I'll probably put it their mailbox or toss it onto the front seat of their car when the window is open and it's blocking my mailbox.
