CIMG0267.jpgCIMG0268.jpg I guess they are a bit thick in the middle. I think I'll start putting them in the tub each night for a few laps. Maybe that'll help slim 'em down some.

Sturdy girls, no need to slim them down is there?

Don't you think the scale spread is a bit much for a healthy snake? I know overweight anything life span is shorter, just trying to keep the girls around as long as possible.

And I use Sani-Chips on one side & Carefresh on the water dish side. Yes they can burrow in the sani-chips, but it can get packed down, I fluff it up now and then. It clumps kinda like cat litter which makes cleaning easy. I need the carefresh on water dish side, othewise they drag the chips into the water and I'm afraid they might suck it up when drinking.

now im no expert but i dont think that it is that bad but i would like another opinion. none of sime have any scale spread unless im handling and they are breathing heavy or wrapped around a finger, but if that spread is bad/unhealthy i would like to know so i can keep an eye on them to make sure they dont get to big.

The scale spread I see in the photos is opened up by the curve, it's far from the worst I've seen in non-gravid snakes. Maybe a couple of lengths of the bath each week would be good, exercise can't be bad for them can it?

i dont think it would be bad unless they are stressed in the water swimming around fast
