    James, if your e-mailing him, suggest he call his local wildlife rescue people, they can come and identify it and take it off his hands if it is infact dangerous

    I'm pretty sure that ISN'T a hognose. The nose would be a little more upturned, even in a juvenile...

    its not being a wuss, its called being sensible.
    you said you have kept a few rattlers? Then in other words you know how dangerous it is to have one. Thats the reason we have DWA's in the UK.

    good job that we are taking precautions then.
    i so want a positive ID on this snake now, because it has caused so much doubt and worry and mainly so we can be sure that nobody is in danger.
    i so have to go to bed, but i know im going to worry now.
