Stefan do you know what geographic area your stock originated from? I am just curious because of the vast variation in color the vagrans show. I go to three four different sites a year that have a very heavy vagrans population and all four are unique in color/pattern and average adult female size. All of the males seem to be in the same average range but the females vary quite a bit.

    Beautiful girl by the way!

Absolutely no idea. The breeder said one of its parents came from Scott Felzer and the other is wildcaught. It differs in pattern from its sister, which I've noticed is quite similar to wandering garters I've seen in pictures from
South Saskatchewan River, Alberta. It's also a snail refuser.

What about worms? I have yet to have any of mine take any worms.

Haven't tried worms in years, but last time I did, it refused them, too.

The male I have takes both worms and slugs without hesitation.

Some of Scott's stock is from Utah...I sent him an adult pair years ago.
my Idaho wandering that I had when growing up ate tons of nighcrawlers!
