Re: Bad night crawlers from Walmart *Alert*
I believe I may have recently picked up a bad batch of walmart worms, worms were perfectly healthy. However, some of my snakes got horribly sick. I thought first it was bad fish, but after swapping out the source for the fish, I am not so sure. I was sure the sick snakes weren't going to survive.

Never heard of these worms causing issues. These were the DMF Canadian Night Crawlers?
Re: Bad night crawlers from Walmart *Alert*
Those are the ones, I will see how they do this weekend when I feed without the worms.
Sypthoms resembled that of calcium and thiamine deficiency, however it coinsided with swelling and a puffy appearance. Lots of water drinking and obviously neurological, altered coordination. Happened within 24 hours of feedings. Not sure if anyone might have any thoughts. Thanks

What else are you feeding?
Re: Bad night crawlers from Walmart *Alert*
Deli Salmon, nothing else.

Re: Bad night crawlers from Walmart *Alert*
So, I fed on Sunday and observed through Monday. I did not see the tremors and swelling I saw the last three feedings. However, they did not eat well, I guess they were less hungry and possibly less interested in the food without the worm smell. No plan of action, I will probably feed without worms for a while.
I have recently started using a reptile vitamin, has anyone experienced any issues with vitamins before? Dosing and usage? Thanks.
