No, he's not just a chemistry teacher obviously. He also was (is) a "bad-***" he just didn't know it when he was still "just" a chemistry teacher.

C'mon. He didn't mean he's literally the one who knocks and it wasn't meant to be taken that way. I like what he said right before that more. He was basically saying the same thing. "I am not in danger skyler, I am the danger"

It's no mystery at all why people like that character. From the web: "Walter doesn't care what he's the best at; he just wants to be the best" and he is the best. "And if anyone ever questions his credentials, he has the stacks of dirty money and the 99.1-percent pure product to prove it"

I just love stories where you are compelled to "route for the bad guy"

I guess that's why I like Sharon Stone's character too. She soooo bad!

They both represent the level of "badness" we could only aspire to achieve if we ourselves decided to "break bad".

    He's a screw-up.

I KNOW how it was meant to be taken and it's BS. He is in danger, he's constantly in danger.

He's best at one thing, he sucks at everything else.

He also has a broken windshield and in all probability a broken nose. And the stacks of dirty money is "a bit" of a problem. He might as well just set it all on fire.

    Root.

I thought it was because she flashes her privates.

Just compare him to any of the people he's been dealing with over the course of the series.

You thought wrong. That's just a bonus.

You do realize that all of them could have dealt with him at any time and there would have been nothing he could have done about it? The only time he was in control of the situation, was during his first encounter with Tuco in the first season, after that he's just been running around with his tail between his legs and getting out of trouble through pure luck.

    I don't suppose you've watched Deadwood?

Nope. That's on HBO and I would have to pay extra to get that and it just isn't worth it. I'm not paying $14.95 a month to watch the same 3 movies 50 times a month when netflix is only $7.99

I could listen to Sir. David speak all day long. Shall be a real loss when he's gone.

Did you see "60 years in the wild"??

    Re: Movies & TV shows

Attenborough is a god of natural history. It was interesting to hear him describe in his "60 years programme" how much things have changed in the way we look at the natural world in just his lifetime, far less collecting specimens for the sake of pickling in museums.

Our snakes got Char "Life in Cold Blood" for Christmas.
