    My planted garter paludarium

I picked up an exoterra 40 gallon tank on the cheap several months ago and began building my garters' final abode. I started with a custom back ground and land/water separator using spray foam, silicon, and coco fiber. I added some branches for interest and some raised cups for planting hanging plants. I set it up with a water pump that moves water from the stream/pool to the hydroball layer for filtration and to simulate stream flow. It has taken awhile to figure out the best configuration and find plants that will thrive. It is now at a point that I am happy with. My garters (Obi, Darth, and soon to add Chewie) very much enjoy the water feature and actually spend quite a bit of time climbing around the background.

Thanks Jeff, it was a bit of a pain to get up and running but I am glad I put in the work.
