Re: Live Video of African Watering Hole

Too funny! I saw some impalas and a wildebeast. The birds are constantly active, though. I keep looking, but I have a slow connection. I think it's probably safe to say that anyone who keeps captive snakes is pretty fascinated by living animals, so this African webcam was certain to reel a bunch of us in.

Re: Live Video of African Watering Hole

If anyone is looking right now, someone used a remote and changed the way the camera is pointed... and now they are showing wildebeasts and gazelles outside a camp!

    Lovely!

This morning at the water hole, there were a couple of birds that ran down to the water to drink...

... and yes, I saw the butterfly too, and some swallows, last night. Do you think we are spending too much time staring at this feed???

Re: Live Video of African Watering Hole

A few minutes ago, I saw two animals that I could not ID. They were four footed, had long tails, walked with their (smallish) heads down. Their tails looked bushy and light colored towards the tips. Now I am not an expert on African mammals, but I know alot of them, and these were strange to me. Now I guess I need to find a good key or a good identification site for African mammals... hmmm.... ???

No... I suspect they were Aardvarks or Anteaters or something of that Ilk. Anyone know of an online site for ID of African mammals?
