100% het albino Marcianus Litter 29/7/12

I was quite happily finishing my dinner when I saw some movement out of the corner of my eye, and to my surprise I saw a little squiggly cruising around my Marcianus birthing box She'd been really holding onto this litter and I thought she'd never drop them lol she had 31 in total but 6 of those were still born, 3 had "bug eyes" but they're staying with me so I can be sure they're never bred from and the rest were all fine and strong. Most of them shed straight away and as I had some spare salmon the next day I tried them with some but only one had some.

Lots of cute babies! Congrats! I have a female eastern that likes to hold on to her litters and eventually starts to reabsorb them...leading to stillborns. She managed to have 3 live last time. I will not breed her again though. It always worries me that she will hold on too long and become septic. Glad your girl finally gave birth! Keep us posted on how she is doing.

How long a time frame did she hold them? I have a radix that dropped 1 last Thursday night and now here we are a week later and no other litter mates. She is really starting to worry me. Congrats on your litter, great looking group. Love the look of the albinos. Hope these guys produce some one day.

Hey if you can post a pic of 1 of the babies with the "bug eyes", I've heard of the term but I dont think I've ever seen it.

Congrats Peter . Never tire of seeing these photos. Like the idea of a birthing box, saves hunting through a four foot viv for a load of tiny scrubs!
