    1st litter of the new year

    So my B/W and regular Axanthic had 4 babies today sadly all 4 are normal but there are definitely hets.

    This breeding was one of Steve's black and white radix bred to the recessive axanthic radix, correct? So likely not compatible genes, right? though the number is only 4, so not completely conclusive. Would be neat if there was some sort of compatibility with either the axanthic or anery gene to the black and white gene, even if it produced some type of intermediate...or should I say especially if it would produce a new intermediate phenotype.

    Sorry for the late response just been so busy. You are correct on both. Thought they would be. I wonder how it would do with an albino?

    i think if you bred the black and white to an albino and produced "snows" in the second generation you would have produced the first "true snow" in the garter snake world not these melanistic albino snows that i think you guys have now.
