    Mature male and baby??

I have a two year old male (aka No Shoulders, caught in the wild as a baby) and I was looking into getting him a friend. Im in PA and the pet store im dealing with isn't aloud to sell garter snakes that are native here. Is it ok to have two different flavor garters in the same tank? And will he be ok with a baby?

Males of any two species except T. vagrans can be housed together.

I wouldn't put a baby in with an adult, just because of the risk of the little one getting injured or crushed. They love to crawl all over each other. Plus, if there was a food fight the little one wouldn't stand a change. I have a three year old male with a two year old, but the size difference there is less than between an adult and a baby.
