Wanted to post about the first shed of a WC eastern I accidentally adopted in Oct2018

on Jan 1st, 2019 I noticed his eyes were a bit foggy and he seemed dry. He wouldn't come out of his cave for anything, food, water or to investigate. On the 4th day I put him in a moist box with wet paper towels and he stayed between that and his hot spot. I tried to feed him on his normal feed day but he wasn't interested. I thought he was dehydrated because its the middle of winter. I didn't think he would shed. Boy I was HAPPY to be wrong! This is my first snake and it was by accident. I've seen them in my yard and said hi but never owned one. I was so worried he was going to die. He looked so miserable! I woke up today to a fully complete shed wrapped around his cave. Its whole, you can even see the eye parts. I was so excited! I'm glad he is OK. I was so afraid! He looks so pretty freshly shed its amazing! I'm happy I seem to be caring for him correctly. I posted a picture of it in my hand but its bad quality, I will try to add a better picture to the members gallery.

Added 2 clear pictures(white toilet paper background) with an object (BIC lighter) for size comparison to the members gallery. Much better quality than the photo below.

That's great! Glad to hear he had a good shed. As a newbie, I always worry, too.
