    Worms!

Just wondering if there are any risks involved with feeding worms dug out from the wild?

    Re: Worms!

If you know that the soil is pesticide free that is the most significant risk. So it depends where they come from.

Well, I'll put it this way: store-bought worms come from the ground too. I don't know if there are any worm to snake parasites out there, but neither is safer than the other.

Not necessarily, Steveo. Store-bought worms are usually farmed, if I understand rightly.
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

There is always a risk of parasites when you feed wild caught anything.
I think the risk is lower for night crawlers though.
    Just my opinion.

I have used store bought and ones that I have caught in the garden, no problem.
If your dad has a compost heap don't use any that you catch near there..get them from other end of the garden

Whats wrong with getting them from near a compost heap? I do check that they aren't red wigglers.
