    pinkies/week adult garter?

So I have an albino checkered. She went into a brumation for a few months, then ate a few meals of worms. I got her to finally eat a pinkie mouse! Before the brumation she wouldn't eat any mice except once, another pinkie. So how many pinkies/week should I be feeding a full grown adult female checkered?

I should add-she ate it EASILY and WONDERFULLY and perfect!

I am a big believer in letting them eat as much as they want. I feed them whenever I clean their cages which is daily or every other day, depending on poop production. I also try to alternate fish, worm and mice; but that varies because my bigger garters no longer bother eating worms and only go for chunky fish or mice (pinkies or fuzzies)

Also, garter snakes have a very high metabolic rate which translates into more frequent hunger. Pinkies for a adult garter is insufficient nutrition over time. They can handle hairless hopper mice, fuzzies, and whole safe fish. I have adult albino checkereds and the females can handle rat pinkies, large hopper mice, just prey size that is much bigger than a mouse pinky. However they all are individuals with differing preferences at times but you should try offering something larger. It may be challenging but you should try and see if she will start to take larger prey.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

I have two females that eat weaned rats. I could not get any pups from my supplier at the time. Now I give them weaned rats only.
