    Sexing?

Im sure this has already been brought up before, but ill ask again anyway.
I just bought 2 garters that are very young. Im having issues sexing them and would like some feedback. Attatched are 2 pictures entitle "snake 1" and "snake 2". Any help would be greatly appreciated. I kind of think snake 1 might be a female. its tail looks slightly stubbier than the other. Help? haha

    Welcome aboard.

I'm afraid it's a bit difficult to tell from those pictures.

If you haven't seen it yet, here's a link to a thread that might help.
It will give you some examples of confirmed sexes. It will also give you an idea about the kind photos needed to help in the identification.
    Good luck.

    Re: Sexing?

Thanks for the help guys. I will take some more pictures tonight and repost a thread and see if theres anything else that will help in identification. Ive heard from several people that it will be hard to identify a sex at such a young age also.

Very pretty snakes. Ribbons are in the same family as garters and care is the same. I've always heard that they can be more skittish than garters, but many here have calm, easily handled ribbons
