    when they can't see, they get stressed out easier....they are prey animals for other animals, rely on sight to see predators...that's why they hide a lot when getting ready to shed.....

    yes I was just going to say mine isnt really soaking in her dish much. She has always had a larger than normal water dish because I noticed early on that she really enjoyed her water more than I expected so I upgraded her lol
    But she spends all her time either behind her den or inside of it. lol I never see her outside of it lately. I miss seeing her lol

    She'll be out and about when she's shed. They are more nervous and tend to stay hidden during this time. Sometimes they won't eat either.
    Don't worry, she'll be all shiny and bright, and most of those nasty marks will disappear too.

    They are always most stunning right after a shed.

    I always photograph as many as I can, right after a shed.
