Glad I don't have cactus here, only nettles and pricker bushes. Oh yeah, my personal favorite, poison ivy.

I would take cactus any day over that list! Luckily poison ivy and oak don't affect me but boy do I hate nettle!

I love the forks on that tongue Steve! They look like they are as wide as the head.

I didn't notice that. Maybe it was the musk in my eyes.

Steve, if I ever meet you face-to-face, I'm not shaking your hand until I've seen you wash it.

I never wash. That's why my radixes love me so much and I have no friends.
When people come to the door and I want them to go away. I grab a couple dozen radixes, stuff them in my pocket and go to the door. Before I shake their hand, I shift the pinkies and fuzzies to the other hand. Then at just the right moment I have the kids grab my big girls. They ask the people if they want to hold them. At this point the house clears and we get a good laugh. Life is good!

I guess it's all in what we're used to. Cactus is alien to me but I know what the nettle and prickers feel like. I really HATE poison ivy though. Good remedy for nettle is rhubarb and aloe, whatever you have handy. Poison ivy, I just take a hairbrush too. I can't stand that stuff. Or my Mom used to have lye soap.
