I will keep that in mind
    brumate?
And yea I got them separate, my newbies are not doing as well as I want them to be,
not eating properly, very skittish, especially the one!

what can I supply to them as food that I can leave in a bowl so that I do not startle them to much?

A good option would be to leave bite-sized pieces of fish/pinkies (or pinky parts) in a bowl and keep watch from a distance
Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.
