    Well, the only two subspecies still recognized, are T. elegans elegans and T. elegans vagrans.

    Does this mean the other subspecies have been absorbed in to the T.e.e. and the T.e.v.? or were they reclassified altogether?

    IIRC, the populations that had formerly comprised the other subspecies were merged with these two.
