    Don't forget, folks: There are parasites that use fish as hosts, as well. Amphibians aren't the only ones that can transfer them to snakes.

    I think the illustration is supposed to depict a swimming frog.

    Well I dunno 'bout that. It still has six legs as it's being eaten by the bird too. I think it's because frogs with extra legs is supposedly caused by some sort of parasite.

    no it could be a different frog, and wouldnt it be caused by gentics?

    You are correct!I watched a show on either the Discovery or National Geographic channel a long time ago that mentioned these parasites. They actually do cause frogs to grow extra appendages.
