I´m my oppinion these should be seen as and intergradients of a natural occuring and a designer morph.
Erythristics are occuring in the wild, but they would not migrate 50 miles to find the most red mate.
Another example:
We are selecting redsides for four or five generations now. We´ve started by mating Redsided Garters from different populations. They were hand picked from all imported snakes in the petshops. Of course we only took the nicest, brightest most red avaliable specimens. If´you now compare Steve´s fotos from Narcisse to the breeders, I´ve posted in the "next seasons breeding project" thread, you´ll see very differing `morphs´.
