Hahahaha! oh, that made my day. So funny.

Ok. He's lighter brown than the picture is showing though. I tried a banana slug a few days ago, but that one was like super glue!

Yeah, stay away from those. Bad news.

The slugs that have stripes and spots are a lot better, they might be a bit more slimy in some ways but if you poke Herb enough he might put out yellow slime, which is the choking stuff.

I'm pretty sure the slugs Chantel is talking about are not native to NA, but common still. Tiger slugs get huge and are quite common around my yard. Their slime is somewhat clear and not so "super glue" like. All my snakes that eat slugs, love tiger slugs which are native to Europe:

Both if you're talking about the very dark brown huge ones with orange bellies and slime. They're both native. Both eat things that aren't good for your garters, (toxic mushrooms & other fungi, toxic plants, feces, etc.) and they both have choking "super glue" slime.
