I think it's just a simple cut and paste error when you copied the image URL. The URL you've used is:
http://http://www.thamnophis.com/tha...php?photo=9861
So you've got an extra http:// in there. If you post using the URL without the extra http:// at the start of the image address you should be fine.

thanks for help, but no go. Deleted the extra http://, but still nothing. Sorry everyone for hijacking thread with this!
