    For some reason she stopped for a couple of months..

    They do that. Sometimes in summer, sometimes this time of year. When they do it summer it's because their fat reserves are full and they don't need food. In winter, shorter days and dim light causes it. (brumating instinct) You can snap them out of it by giving them brighter light and longer days along with warmth. A few months fast for a previously well fed adult garter is no big deal. They do that from time to time.
