    Almost all garter snakes are North American, with the exception of a few Central American species.
    People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff.

    Yeah, really. Why don't they just call it "common garter snake" and be done with it.

    And I've seen Canadian radixes and non-red parietalis' both called "northern garters" before. I don't think they care what kind it is, if they're coming out of Canada, they call them "northern". Oy vey.
