Thanks everybody. It's nice to be back. I've been on here most of the day catching up on the million threads I missed. lol

It's great to see someone that takes the time to find out information about a reptile before getting one. Too many times it starts out with an impulse purchase and then scrambling to find out how to take care of it.

Yes. I see this a lot. And in order to not follow in the footsteps of these people I do research on every animal I am even semi interested in. Thankfully I didn't have to impulse buy here. Our reptile shop let us put a deposit down, get the enclosure ready, and then come back for the animal. I hope I can find a place like that in Washington.

I have one reptile that was a COMPLETE impulse buy.....a Burton's legless lizard. I could not, and still can't, find much info on these guys, so I had to go off of what I could dig up about Australia's climate and the few research papers I found online. I've had the little guy for over a year now and he's a happy camper.
