    Slugs

    Iv read that slugs can be fed to garters but didn't say which species so i was wondering if anyone knew suitable slug species for garter snakes and how much could they be offered

    I know there are toxic ones...I think some of them give off toxic slime from their skin...I think it's the brown ones, but that is all I know. I know that members on here know which one's are safe because we have had discussions about it before.

    I would not offer slugs to my snakes - as with any wild collected food I would not be happy with the parasite risks. At any rate, there will be no reliable source for you to check the suitability of British slug species.
    Keeping - 'Florida blue' sirtalis, concinnus, infernalis, parietalis, radix, marcianus and ocellatus.
