Wow, those butlers sure are similar to northwesterns in many ways.

Not all snakes, and not every shed, will the eyes look quite as dramatic as that pic. That's the extreme I think. Heck, Amy (albino) hardly gives any indication at all except his yellow stripe fades ever so slightly and his eyes get a slight lavender tint instead of the usual pink or red, but they don't get cloudy, and the color change is barely noticeable. I only see it when I check after he refuses a meal. That's the only time he ever does, so I check for it. Otherwise you wouldn't notice anything. Some of my adult concinnus don't get blue eyes. Just slightly milky. It's the belly that turns blue.
